I buy all mine because they're cheap and I can get away with it.

same as above, the money goes towards something else like a good charger. Never had a pack go bad.

I have both turnigy and zippy hardcase 5200 2s packs,

The turnigys feel to be the more punchy battery out of the two brands,

But both are excellent value batteries,

Can't go wrong with either.

DesirePower LiPo is also made in China.
I ahve used their V8 35C for a year now and they manages about 200 cycles before performance was not so good and they also had difficulty to get balanced at the end if their life and also was slightly swollen by then also.
They was OK but I wanted little more cycles out of them.

My favorite packs out of all of the above are my Revolectrix packs made in Singapore if that counts.

I use the Sky Lipo batteries because they work well and the price is reasonable for the performance. I just wish they were available with different connectors. (I'm not a fan of the bananas.)
