Not enough info to answer your question. What battery? Brand, mah, C rating etc. What charger? Brand, model, AC/DC or just DC? If DC, what power supply for the charger? Connections: type, gauge, etc.

My first thought is an incorrect number of cells selected i.e. charger set to charge 3S and you have a 2S pack connected? Like Rodney said...need more info. Is it the charger input low volume error or the battery low voltage?

The Lipo's may be two low to automatically charge on many of the chargers.

Sounds like your power supply is not sufficient to drive the charger. Usually that "low battery" message means that the power supplied to the charger is insufficient.
