Power supply for field charging.

I am looking for advice on a power source for field charging lipo packs up to 6S 5000 mah.
Is there a good portable power supply for this?
What is everyone else using?

I have a deep cycle golf cart battery In my field box to power the lipo Thunder Power charger. And I charged the battery with a battery tender 1 amp charger.

How about a 1200 amp 500 watt jump starter with a 110 outlet.
Would that work?

I don't see why it wouldn't work for a couple of charges. Except these are designed for a quick jump short power draw. When we fly inside during the winter, I use one of my airplane thunder power 5000ma batteries to power the charger for the little 1 cell batteries that we use in the Cub.

If my memory serves me Chip Hyde burned his garage off his house with a quick start. A deep cycle battery with a solar charger works pretty good.

Do you have wall power and you're just looking for 12/24v or do you not have power at all at the field?

Yes, just something for out at the field.

There is no power at the field.

Then you're going to need a generator or a deep cycle battery

Deep cycle batteries are great. I bought a cover for mine and installed a voltage meter, USB and other connectors on it. Trickle charge at home. Worked great!

I have a grp 27 battery strapped in the bed of my truck. One of the projects will be to run wire from the trailer 7-pin connector to the battery, so I can charge it as I drive.

I keep thinking about doing that with mine, plus it needs some tongue weight.

I have it all designed in my head, just no cash or motivation, though I can't complain I don't have the time right now.
