troubleshoot
 

new rc car, inexpensive sg1601 monster truck. runs great but now it runs about 10 feet and then completely shuts down. go pick it up and about 10 seconds later it runs agin but shuts down again. checked all connections, batteries all good. any ideas?

What battery?
ESC is set up for the type of battery you are using?

I ask that, because your situation sounds like a low voltage cutoff issue.
