Redundent battery system

I would like to hook up two batteries and switches in my plane. What is the best way to do so. I would like some help from some one. Thanks, Nick

RE: Redundent battery system

Battery - Switch - Regulator - Y-Harness -------\ Rx port

Battery - Swithc - Regulator - Y-Harness ---------/

This is assuming you are using a Nimh or Li-Ion setup. NiCads don't need the regulator.

We use this setup on all of our GS birds and have for years.. provides excellent redundany at nominal cost.

For smaller planes I use a Duralite "two--in-one" 1800 mah redundant pack. Basically, its 2 900 mah packs in parallel, if one goes dead, the other stays on line. Pretty slick and extremely light.
