How to test charger??
Hi, I have a wall wart type charger with no markings on it. I was told it was a CH-76. In my Cermark catalog, it states the CH-76 will charge at rates of 125MA/12V or 250MA at 9.6V 300MA/8.4 or 350MA/7.2V. Since I have no idea if this is really a CH-76, how can I test it to see how many MA it puts out at 9.6 volts? I was hoping to use this to slow charge my 2500 mah NIMH transmitter pack but without knowing what it is I'm reluctant. Any ideas without spending a fortune on testing equipment?

Plug an amp meter in between the charger and the battery.

You need a meter. Here is an inexpensive one from Radio Shack that will measure current 0-40, 0-400 MA, 0-4 and 0-10 Amps. It's $30.00 http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...%5Fid=22%2D813 You won't regret purchasing one. John |

Thanks guys. My brother is an engineer for a Sound Company and I'll check to see if he has one I can borrow. If not ,I will get one of the suggested units.
