DO I have a Problem?
Hello all I just bought 2 1.2 volt 3300 MA sub C batteries , I put them on my accu charger and they only seem to charge to 735MA before it says it has reached peak voltage, Shouldnt they charge to approx 3300MA ? I tried charging them at the chargers default charging rate and also at the lowest setting of 50 Ma and the result is the same is this normal ? maybe because they are new? [:o]

RE: DO I have a Problem?
Only if they were nearly empty.
Is it possible they were already partial charged? If not try increasing the rate to 1-2 amps. prefer 2 amps. |
RE: DO I have a Problem?
you will need to discharge the battery before charging the battery to determine what the true mAh capacity will be.

RE: DO I have a Problem?
What type of battery is this - NiCd or NiMh?
If it is a NiMh it needs a form charge. That is a C/10, 300 mAh, charge for 16 hours on a non-peaking charger. Then cycle and see what you get. If you do not have a non-peaking charger then cycling up to 10 times may solve the problem. I suggest tracking each charge to ensure the battery is improving. I hope this helps. RE: DO I have a Problem?
New batteries need to be cycled several times before you see good results. Only trickel charge first. peak charge always faulse charges.
