Hobbico LiFeSource for 50cc?

Considering two 1100 mah Hobbico LiFe batteries to power my receiver in an Aeroworks Extra 50cc. The LiFe batteries have a continuous discharge rate of 10c (11 amps). Is that enough for five 7955 servos and throttle servo? Thanks!

You have to find out the maximum current draw when going from one stop to the opposite stop. Contact the servo company. Multiply that by the maximum # of servos you really can cause that to happen. That would be your worst case amperes in a stunt. Your servo leads & any extensions may be too small to carry full current & allow full volts AT THE SERVO.
Especially be concerned about any " Y " servo setups.

Have a look at this site. Lots of good info on true A123 cells in the FAQ. I bought 2 2300 A123 battery's and the FMA charger that lets me balance charge right thru the charge jacks for my 88" EF Yak. Good guys to deal with.

Newb question, does the total discharge current rate double when I have two batteries with two switches connected to the receiver? In my case 22 amps?

Yes, in parallel voltage is common and current is additive.

Thanks for the help. I did some research and found that the max burst amp was 4.4 per servo. So, with five of 7955tg a total burst of 22 amps is possible. Seems to work out okay as two LiFeSource 1100 in parallel have a maximum continuous discharge current of 22 amps. Couldn't find what the burst amp rating for the LiFe batteries were. But, like cyclops said, the extension are a limiting factor too. Going to go for the Hobbico heavy duty extensions. 20 gauge.

You will never even get close to 22Amp draw on a 50cc airplane. Maybe 6 amps for a very short duration.

Nice. That's good news. Thanks.
