I was a small engine tech a few years before I moved here. I still don't know 100% what the answer is reguarding ARO. That's why I say it's up to the owner. My own equipment would get started to warm them up, drain the tank then run them dry then store them for the winter. After 20 years of use they were still running like new. You should see the crap people would come in with if the just put there tools away without clearing them of fuel. After a season sometimes they were buying new equipment.

The Morgan fuel Ken mentioned isn't stocked in any of my LHS so I haven't seen any in several years.
Denny has Omega and Cool power in stock most of the time.

If he is out of Power Mater, I run Omega 10%.
