Default Giles 4 stroke

you may think i am mad, but i have been out of this game for 10 years.
I ordered a Phoenix Giles202 ARF kit for a 40 2 stroke motor, but i bought a Magnum 61RFS 4stroke! am i mad???? i like the idea of the sound and feel of the 4 stroke, but when i try to line it up on the pre-existing mount, it is too long!! (it has a rear induction system, forcing the motor forwards on the mount)

What do I do?
It has been recommended to just buy a cheap 2stroke (VMAX) but i wondered if anyone had any ideas... i can post pics to anyone who can help me.

Cheers

michael

Go and buy a longer engine mount.

Remove the existing one, and replace it with the new one. You may have some problems with the cowl no-longer fitting. You will also probably have to re-drill the engine mounting holes on the fire-wall. Need to be careful not to damage the integrity of the firewall.

Send a pic. As I have a YS 53 on mine with not problems in length. Had to drill 2 new holes in the mount though. Also had to turn the mount to run it upside down to get muffler engine to fit nicely in cowl. Don't for get engine thrust. You have to move engine to left to compensate for the angle of the engine. I forgot to do mine and dont have any thrust.
