Yes the carbon fiber arrowshafts make GREAT pushrod shafts and can be used for super strong leading edges... (and other places... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] ) Note that there are black fiberglass arrowshafts available too... heavier and not appropriate for some places where you really want the carbon fiber.

I visited my local archery shop and they had hundreds of CF rods that were old arrows that were no longer useable (broken tips and such) as arrows, but perfectly useable as rods for aircraft.
I would think most archery shops would have these on hand.
I got a dozen for a dollar, the shortest one was 29 inches, the longest was 36 inches. What a deal.
Pay them a visit, you may get a deal too.

For a good selection of carbon fiber rods and tubes try www.intothewind.com They are a kite builders site and they have all sorts of carbon and kevlar stuff.
