Default $$$$$$$$ Payback

Someone once told me, when I was first starting out in this hobby, to go meet the man I'd be giving all my money to for the next few years down at the hobby shop. Well, let's put it this way.......we're the best of friends and he just glows when I walk in the door. It has been a friendly transfer of funds, but the result is his kids can now go to college and mine will be the ones flippin' burgers. He also has begun to wear Hummer jewelry to match the H2 out back. He used to park his Yugo in front.......hmmmm. Has anyone ever figured out a way for this hobby to RETURN some cash back in one's wallet? My values are all out of whack and I'm sliding down a slippery slope (I figure it must be the castor). Security once meant a sound 4O1K and a diversified portfolio, now I feel secure when I know I still have two cases of fuel in the garage! How about selling advertising space on the wings? Crop dusting? I've heard the whole shpeel about the helis and real estate.......I'm talking airplanes here! Here's a tip ..... use those castor soaked rags that you've used to clean your plane with to inhibite the spreading of rust on your aging vehicle (you know...... the vehicle you've used beyond it's useable life, just so you can keep up with your addiction).
Addictedly yours,

Back home I once heard someone ask one of the farm boys what he would do if he won the lottery. He said, "I reckon I'd just keep farming, till it was gone."

There's surely a version of that joke for RC planes.

I've seen a couple of ads where you can make money putting a video camera on your helicopter, that's if you have one & know how to fly it. Other than that, my money only goes one way, and that's OUT of my pocket.

So much for adding a little levity! Dude, lighten up.........I live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and just love it! Come to the U.P. and experience nature at it's finest..........on the shores of Lake Superior. Most of all, realize that some people like to have a little fun and don't take life so serious.

The only way most of us are going to make any money out of this hobby is to put in a `ca$h crop` at the field if it`s remote enough.

But don`t get caught!!! Plenty of time to build the models when you`re a guest of the state though.

Calumet is one of the nicest spots Michigan has! Also if my memory is correct Calumet was the wealthiest city per capita in the entire country at one time.[X(] Take that hurricane boy![sm=stupid.gif]

Flyboy,

I'm with you. But all the planes I've planted - grew. In fact they were all grewsome.
