Ideas ! Can I have suspension on my plane "funtana 40
I came up with a great design of how to make some nice suspension for my funtana , also have access to a waterjet machine and C&C , so I came up with a great way of doing it ...Is this a good idea or am I wasting my time ?

That all depends. I can think of one plane right now that it would help with, maybe even 2 planes, but a Funtana should not need it, though it prbably would not hurt as long as the weight was minimal.
I'd have to see the design first.

The pursuit of knowledge is never a waste of time. [8D]
However; it may not be practical to install it on this AC due to weight, cost considerations - Your call... [:'(] ... but someday you may have a REALLY Great AC that could benefit from this new system - and then you'll be ready for it.
Good Luck!

I've seen working suspension on some planes, usually larger scale birds. Also, [link=http://www.robart.com]Robart's[/link] makes suspensions that are available (Robostruts). The biggest questions to ask about doing suspension is cost, weight, complexity, and is it really worth it. I can see where you would want it on larger heavier birds to help protect the plane and electronics while on the ground. But on smaller planes it may not be worth the extra work involved. But of course that's all up to you and what you want to do with your planes. I do some things in the way I build that most people don't which may make for a bit of extra work on my part, but that's the way I prefer to do things and I feel that the extra time and effort are worth it in my mind. As long as it's something you want then I'd say go for it. Good luck and keep up posted, I'd love to see the final product when you're finished.
Hope this helps
