I have on of these handsets. I lost the manual for this and was wondering what the 2 buttong on the top did
1. is an on-off button with elevator dual rate
2.is an on-off button with aileron dual rate
What do these do? Should i keep them on or off on a basic starter plane?

G'day Mate,
They are your duel rate switches, on low rate, the elevator, or aileron, moves less than on high rate.
But they must be set up, to do this, so find someone, at a CLUB that can help you.
And I'm sure you have more questions to ask, so find someone with experience, at a CLUB.
Not one of your mates that says he can do it, beware!!!!!!

Allan is correct about them being dual rate activating switches. The amounts are probably adjusted under a cover somewhere like under the battery cover. Leave them alone for now. You don't need to worry about this for a trainer initially. After you solo and get a bit better you can use them to spice up the reactions of the plane. For now, you want/need relatively docile.

Thanks chaps. I'll have them both on off for now.
I'm going for my first flight on Tuesday if the weather permits. Dont worry i have an aircore plane. 'Tough as old boots'!
So a crash will leave me with minimum damage.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Adios for now![8D]

G'day Mate,
It all depends on how you crash,[&o] the best way to crash is to avoid the hard stuff at the end of the air, if ya stay in the soft stuff ( air ) you will do a lot less damage, do yourself a favour & get HELP, we all need it, it just takes a real man to know when we need it.

I have just bought the same system, I understand all the controls except for a toggle/switch on the right hand side of the set, not on the front.
It moves through a 30degree arc, any ideas please guys.
Thank You
Gregg

If identical to the sets mentioned in the eleven year old thread the transmitter is likely to be 15 to 25 years old. At the very least cycle the batteries do a battery capacity check and do a proper range check before flying.

Thank you for the prompt response.
I have new batteries for it, but over here you can only fly on 35mhz, I used to fly but my landings always ended in bits.
I changed to r/c boats a couple of years ago, all on 2.4 systems, unfortunately this wave band doesn't work under water.
Surface craft boats/cars/submarines are all on 40mhz over here.
I am in the middle of building an r/c Gato Class submarine, this system is for this.
Mainly it's just the switch on the end panel I don't understand, it may be just need to connect everything up and se what happens
when I operate the switch.
