One of my buddies posted a few days ago about the different kinds of stiks out today. he is getting back into the hobby and ive been in for about 6 months. the stiks look like a lot of fun and a good second plane. we looking at the sportsman aviation stik and it is a very unique stik. does anybody know anything about this particular plane. building? flying? well built? thanks.

This is a coool little plane for a great price. The covering is some cheesy material so plan on patching it up a lot but it isn't intended to win any beauty contests anyhow. My landing gear was also butter soft but I relaced it with some from a H-9 Ultra Stick and it worked great.
I don't think it makes a good second plane though. It's pretty fast and maneuverable and could get away from someone not ready for it. Otherwise it is a blast to fly.
Oh... I almost forgot. There isn't much glueing surface for the horizontal stab. Mine popped loose. Add a little tri-stock between the stab and fuse or even use a couple screws through the stab to insure a good joint.

There is a pretty extensive review of the Sport Stik with video here on RCU:
