Are the props and glow plugs pretty standard? I have an O.S. .46 at home that I need a new prop for and also some more glow plugs. If I go to my LHS and tell them what I have will they know what will fit or do I need to get the broken prop and old plug? Sounds kinda silly asking now that I typed it, I would hope so huh! Thanks

Can't imagine they wouldn't.
You want an OS A3 or A8 glow plug. The A8 is the better choice, the A3 is the econo choice. The A8 is a "hotter" plug (search for plug info to figure that one out). Either will work.
For props, you need anywhere from a 10x6 up to an 11x7 or there abouts. APC is a good make. 11x6 is a popular choice.

All commonly used glow plugs on modern engines have a 1/4 32 thread with the exception in one case of a special oversize plug used in a racing engine and the LHS is sure not going to stock these. So in the size consideration you won,t go wrong. However plug heat ranges are quite varied and a number of brands. If you know what plug you had and it was working fine then just ask for that. If not some common types that work fine in that engine are the K&B 1L or the McCoy 059 and numerous others.
As far as props go and you have 1/4 28 thread on the crankshaft and most props have a Quarter inch hole up to about the thirteen inch diameter. Typically if you had a larger crankshaft and most engine do starting a about the sixty size with some using metric sizes the the procedure most do is to buy a prop reamer that has steped sizes and just just ream out till you get to the right size.
Now if you know what diameter and pitch your prop was then fine just ask for that if that size worked well. A 11x5 prop is eleven inch diameter and five inch pitch. If you don,t know and its a trainer then a typical
prop would be an 11X6 or a 10x7 and I sure you will get lots of additional opinions on that.

You will find as you mature into the sport that you tend to always stock up on props in a variety of sizes so that you can experiment as well as for other size engines.

1/4 inch crankshaft... right. That reminds me: Some, not all I purchased, APC props don't quite fit over the 1/4 inch crankshaft. You need to get, or borrow, a prop reamer to enlarge the hole a little bit. Make sure you don't get a metric one!

Glow plug choice can vary depending on a few things, compresion, fuel choice, altitude, etc, etc.
i run OSA3 plugs in all my 2 stroke engines (OS.20 up to GMS.47)using a nirto content from 0% up to 10% with 20% castor and have no problems at all.
as for props, if its an OS46LA i'd start with a 10x6 if its the FX i'd start with a 10x7
