I had an old timer tell me once to put a squirrel in the fuse?!?!?! The idea being the squirrel would run up hill. If the plane was tail heavy he would run to the nose. Nose heavy he would run to the tail.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

This is my last plane that maidened tail heavy. I really wanted to get another flight out of it, I was alone at the field, and this is what I came up with. It flew great, and when I got home, I moved the wing back 2 inches.

And I would not recommend that anyone try this at home.
Not bad. I had a new plane at the field last summer that I had forgotten to balance before going out. Also forgot all my balancing stuff of course. Ended up rubberbanding 4 sockets and a 5/8 combination wrench right behind the engine. What an ugly mess. [sm=bananahead.gif] Flew it once OK but didn't want to press my luck.[X(]

Shoot that is the way I fly. Nothing is straight and level.

I tend to momentarily pass through those two conditions on the way to the next maneuver.

Yep, seen it done before, a lot of folks at our club just start looking for a big rock in the parking lot to use as nose weight. Most use electrical tape to hold it on (better than a few rubber bands), seen some pretty wild looking temporary mods to get the plane in the air. DG
