work can be a pain

keeps us from flying when we like, However: just spent the morning @ 700 feet in the door seat of a UH-1 Huey with the side doors open. Man the earth seems so relaxing from up there. And to think I get paid to do sutff like this! :D What's worse is, the pilots get paid to do it everyday!! :D:D
On another note, cub build is almost complete! Have decided to put something smaller than the Super Tigre 90 in it. Will save that engine for a 60 sized plane.

When I first read that, I thought you said that you spent the morning wearing women's lingerie.

I feel much better after reading it again.

Just think, if you were one in a million in China, there'd be 3000 people just like you!

Did the U.S. get it's moneys worth out of that design, or what?

First - thanks '76, for doing what you do.

Second - if it weren't for my R/Cand grocery addiction Iwould have joined the beach bumb set long ago. That, and the way my wife can throw a frying pan.

How I love my new teddy;
It's got straps like spaghetti.
It holds me real tight,
Like handcuffs at night.

Walkin' round in women's underwear.

I'm a big brave lumberjack
As everybody knows.
When I go out on Saturday night,
I wear my sister's clothes.

Wear my sister's clothes.
Yes, I wear my sister's clothes.

I have rode in huey's, ch46's, and ch53's.

Scariest ride was going from Okinawa to Korea on a ch46 all that water. No where to land. Thank god I had good pilots that could read instruments.

Two day trip, day one Okinawa to Iwakuni. Day two Iwakuni to Korea. And then back two months later.

Got lots of sleep.:D Like sleeping on a huge noisy vibrator. Ah the good ole days!

From a third-party point of view on the US-Vietnam issue, the Phoenix models are quite well built. They are comparable to GP or others and most suited for developing country conditions. I have 3 models from Phoenix- trainer, Tiger and Topstar (Flip3D) and they are all very decent. Yes, the covering is not monokote / ultrakote standard and some of the wood is not excellent quality but you can shrink it with a hair-drier, patch a hole with a bit of clear tape and if you KO your model, you can rebuild it with glue (I crashed from 10 feet hovering and destrored the fuse on my Topstar front of the wing including mount. It was flying the next day again the same as before):)

The ARFs I have are older so I dont know whether things are become worse with the newer ones (Topstar is no longer available) and Pheonix doesnt have a lot of models. Interestingly, Phoenix, Seagull and Black Horse are sister concerns (built in the same factory) and I see a lot less resistance to purchasing the latter two in the US.

Coming back to the original thread, yes, work can be a pain when you cant fly[>:]. We havent flown for the last 4 months due to the monsoon

Yeah, I like my Phoenix models and support is good if you deal with them direct. I warped the canopy (windshield) on mine, and I found the phoenix website, emailed them and they sent me a new one for free. Took a long time to get it, but got it none the less.
