Name of manufacture please
I was given a Extra 300S that needs some work and parts ( cowl and canopy) but cannot figure out if its a Great Planes , Sig , or what ?. It has a 59 inch wing span and says Aerobatic on the wing. On the side it says N300 BW. The construction looks good and seems to have foam in the wing. Also what engine size would it take?

An OS 55 AX would do a fine job with that, I would think, or an equal power four stroke, say a 70?

No, I do not. Perhaps someone will recognize it from your description and know what it is. If you have a picture of it, that would help.
North Port? Where do you fly? I've been to the Venice club a few times, as well as the one in Sarasota. Very nice fields!!! Great bunch of guys. CGr |
RE: Name of manufacture please
Hi CG yes i am about 20 miles from both of those flying fields and have flown at both. I summer in the mountains of NC and am heading to North Port for the winter and will join the Venice club this year. We fly here in the mountains as well. I am a newbe and am addicted to the sport, although I have been tangled in the trees and rebuilding my planes more than I like to admit. If you get down my way shoot me an email and I will have you as a guest at the club (if you give me a few pointers). Dana

Ok, Dana. I'll certainly take you up on that. I have a condo in Bradenton. I am going to buy something for down in FLA when I go. Probably an electric.
