RE: New here, just got some stuff.

Some will tell you to put in a F-type four-stroke plug but dont do that unless you have severe reliability issues. The #6 plug is not the hottest, the #8 is the hottest as far as I know. But you should be ok with the #6.

This is incorrect. The A-3 is a hotter plug than the #6, the #8 is a colder plug. The #8 will last longer, but is more sensitive to having your mixture set correctly. In cold weather, the A-3 is a better plug to use and will tolerate a slightly over-rich mixture better than the #8 will,. None of them will last long if your mixture is too lean, but you should get at least one season out of a glow plug if you don't run it lean.;)

Hey Gray Beard.............Power Master is back after a brief hiatus.........just bought a new can the other day at the LHS. They were bought up by somebody but the can still says Power Master. Also just saw a new ad in one of the hobby rags that they are ''back with a vengence''.............hooray!!!!
Great!!! If Hobby People starts stocking it again and it comes up on sale I will go back to it. No problems with the Wild Cat though, I just kicked up the oil for my YS engines, 16% gave me thought, It worked but why push fate!! One thing I did notice was the difference in the smell between the two. Never could decide what one smelt the worse??:)

Welcome to the insanity!

Buy whatever brand of fuel your Local Hobby Shop (LHS) sells. for a 2-strokw engine, 5 - 10% nitro is good.

BTW, one of my biggest clients is [link=http://www.americanmusical.com/]American Musical Supply[/link].

Scooter, that's cheaper then Hobby People sold it for most the time but when they had a sale it went to a low of $13.00 to a high of $15.00. I do have to get over to Nice twice for some other things and I'm down to one gallon of fuel so I better pick some up. When I'm in that part of town I go to all three hobby shops to see what they have in stock. Maybe Hobby People is selling PM again?? They have a sale every holiday weekend and PM usually comes up in there sales. I think the last price I paid for the Wild Cat was $15.00.
Thanks for the heads up. I should be over there next week sometime.

I agree with you Mike...........I use 10% in all my engines up to my OS91FX but I just bought a couple of Magnums and they specify 15% nitro so I bought some 15% Power Master. I also noted the discussion about the #8 plugs as opposed to the A3 plugs and yes the A3 plugs are hotter than the #8 but I also noticed........in Tower Hobbies website that they advertise the A6 OS plug as "formerly A3"..........go figure :D
