Easiest Biplane to fly
I like comments on which is the easiest Biplane to fly. I'm thinking on one as my 3rd plane; I flew the SIG HOG BIPE and was awesome, but I would like something ARF, never the less I loved the HOG.

Easiest Biplane to fly
I was going to do the Tigermoth once so I spoke with a real good friend that has one and he talked me out of it, said that they were so easy that they were boring to fly. I was lucky enough to come across an old kit called the Beercat by Midwest. Its a little 40 size Bipe but all its good for is racing and it does that well, man is it fast. The Beercat can still be obtained if you do a search, its a reverse stager bipe.

Easiest Biplane to fly
The Lazy Ace has to be the easiest Bipe to fly, is not availible as an ARF but the kit is not to pricey.

Easy Bipe
Check out the Thunder Tiger Tiger Bipe. Looks kinda like a Pitts and is light (only 4.5 lbs) a little squirrly on the ground but a nice plane in the air. Does most aerobatics yet flys well with a OS 49

It depends on what you have to transport in. I don't take the wings off and I put it in the back of my truck, I can also put it in the back of my wifes Rav 4.
I love the plane, if it ever has an untimely death I will get another. Looks awesome in flight too. |
Easiest Biplane to fly
Where can I get the Thunder Tiger Tiger Bipe, also look great and does if fly steady.

jucava the tiger moth is not the best bipe, its wing is undercamberd(spell?) and that wing design provides high lift, but makes the plane want to tuck in a dive. the pt 17 is a more gentle plane, but a friend had some cg problems with it after he fixed it on low rates it flies as gentle as a trainer in my view

Thunder Tiger Bipe
I think you can get them from e hobby.com at this link.
http://www.ehobbies.com/rc-ttr-4557.html If you have mastered a trainer, this plane will work well for you and it doesn't have any bad habbits. I own 5 different bipes and this is my fall back plane. It fits in the back of my jeep along with my Goldberg Ultimate so I can fly more then one plane on the same day. 'course as with any aerobat, you do have to have reasonable competance with the sticks ;) |

the only thing with the DP ultimate is if i was to get it i would have trouble making my mind up to get the 40 with a saito 70 or a 120 with a YS 140, cuz there both such nice planes

Easiest Biplane to fly
I already master my trainer and now I'm flying a BigStik 40, and I'm having a blast with it; a club member let me fly his SIG Hog Bipe and it was an incredible experience, I have fall in love with biplanes, I did almost every single thing that at cross my mind, actually I felt that I bond easy with the bipe than with the stik(sound's cheesy ah, sorry is love at first sight).
I have to own one, and for $160,00 an ARF bipe like the Tiger Bipe, men I'm going to buy one, but my wife is making me sell first one plane, and my trainer seem to the the chosen one, ifff, ifff. These things should have a warning label: "Danger, highly addictive." |
