Identitication

I got these two planes from a friend but can't figure out what they are. I know the trainer has an OS engine and the Cub has a Super Tigre engine but I can't figure out the brand/model. They are from anywhere in the mid 80's to the mid 90's. Any help would be great.
Thanks |
RE: Identitication
What is the wingspan on the Cub???

RE: Identitication
The cub has a wingspan of roughly 78 inches, and a length of roughly 47 inches.
The trainer has a length of roughly 60 inches, and a length of roughly 49 inches. |
RE: Identitication
The cub also has the letter/number N4734C on the side if that helps.

RE: Identitication
Not sure about the trainer. But the Cub sure looks like the Great Planes Cub. The wingspan is just about right too

RE: Identitication
The great planes pt-40/60 trainers had curved windshield areas like that trainer does.

RE: Identitication
That's not the GP cub, it's the Carl Goldberg Anniversary Cub And I think the other is a PT-40 also

That trainer could be a modified PT-40 with the dorsal fin removed, but the wing looks wrong and the seating in the front is not the same, and the hatch/nose appears to be shorter.
In the last photo the fin/rudder doesnt seem to be straight, leaning to the left? Not certain but that could cause a problem in flight. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJ557&P=7 http://manuals.hobbico.com/gpm/gpma0...anual-v1_2.pdf |
