Saito 100 Starting Question

I ordered a Saito 100 GK for my New US 60. I am wondering if my electric starter is going to be able to turn this thing over. I have the Hobbico Torquemaster 90 (not the heavy duty one). Is this going to be able to tuen the Saito over, or do I need to get the heavy duty one?

I would think it would do the trick. If it doesn't, I wouldn't worry. I've never used an electric starter on my Saito 90 and it starts great. Usually on the second flip.

Saito 100 Starting Question

I believe that is the one that I have, I know I don't have the heavy duty one, and it turns the Saito 100 with no problems.
Good Luck, it is a great engine

Forgive me if you know this already, but please take great care when starting your Saito 100. Mine starts very easily when the glow is on, with only slight 'backwards' movement of the prop. against engine pressure - sometimes known as a 'bump-start'. It is very easy to be surprised by this, especially if you think you are only putting the prop. back to a suitable starting position.

It's a wonderful engine - but it can 'bite' the unwary.

Saito 100 Starting Question

After properly run in, you're not going to use that startmotor I'll bet.
Like "Runway" already said, I just throw the spinner against compression (backwards) and it goes. And my .100 is not in the most favorable position, inverted in a cowl, no glow help.
Perfect motor the best out of 4 saito's I own
