A friend at our club gave me this plane. He called it a alleycat and when i look for it on utube and other sites they show an all differant airplane.he say that this one was built back in the 70's .He flew it before he removed the engine and gave it to me it is a fast plane I thinl it was a racer at one time {pylon racer}

It very well could be an Alley Cat. These were kitted by Southern RC Products. Someone should have a scan of an old magazine ad.

HI,
It is a lot of fun to rehab an oldy or build OOP kits! Here is a pic of what I think it is http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7989803/tm.htm |
RE: name this plane please
Ah...right...Southern R/C Alley Cat.
For some reason I was thinking Bobcat which was a smaller, .40 sized Tiger Tail, and was also a Southern R/C kit. |
RE: name this plane please
Will I guess OZMO is right and the person that gave the plane to me was right also. I guess that over the years someone else built another plane and called it a alleycat. By the photo's OZMO posted they are just alike. So i'll just fly it and call it a alleycat. Anyway thanks for the help.

RE: name this plane please
Yes, that is a Southern R/C Alley Cat. I had one in the late '70s and loved it. Would like to have another:D.
