DLE 30 starting

I am having no luck getting a new DLE 30 to even burb. I have verified spark and primed but I can not get it to start. I have checked low needle is out 1.5 turns and high is out 1.5 as well. After many flips I did get some gas at the spark plug. any advice?

Procedure.

ignition on
thottle open slightly
choke closed
flip

i am using a 30:1 ratio of oil I did not buy the lawn boy brand as I could not find it.

Just got a DLE myself and it was a pain at first. But once I got fuel to the carb it would pop while choked. Then I open the choke and the second flip it starts. I found that if I put my finger on the vent hole on the choke, it would prime much faster. Also make sure your plug cap is pushed on all the way. Mine was a pain to start one night and I found that I needed to push it on just a bit more. Fired right up. Good luck.

The spark plug that comes with the engine is a throw away item and creates a lot of trouble. Toss it and install a good CM6. If you still have a problem then if you go into the gas engine forum there are pages writen about this engine.

I find that 90% of the time people have such problems with a new engine, is because fuel is NOT hitting the carb yet, when they think it has...

That's assuming everything else is working correctly such as the ignition...

If you have a cowl on the plane, take it off until you have the engine tuned.

Flip the engine over until you see ALL air gone from the line to the carb... then flip it another 4-6 times to get fuel into the carb.

Then try a start with NO choke and the ignition on.

The DLE should start right up if you haven't touched the needles from their factory settings.

I got it started yeah. Had to open throttle a lot more than I thought and I did not use the choke. Thanks for the advice.
