Rudder mixing on 7C

I flew my electric trainer the other day and did a bunch of low passes. I could tell, up close, that there is significant adverse yaw going happening when I turn. I know some full scale airplanes have their rigging set up to give non linear aileron deflection to assist with it, the rudder takes are of the rest. So, I got to thinking, just for kicks whether I could mix in a bit of rudder to automatically kick in with a given aileron input to assist with coordination in flight. But what would be ideal is for the mixing to be on/off by the flip of a switch. Can I set up the 7C radio (Futaba) to not mix until the airplane is airborne, then I flip the switch and the mixing kicks in?

I used to have that radio and I don't remember if you can asign any specific switch to the aileron to rudder mix, but if not, you can always do a programable mix and asign the switch.</p>

In the Futaba web site there is an FAQ you should read. I have the 9-C so I'm not realy sure how to do it with the 7 but I have used the set up you are looking for on a giant scale bipe. I found it easier to just input the rudder during turns myself and have sense gotten into the habbit. I did use the set up at IMAA shows for almost a year though.

If you want to go that route you can set it up as a switchable mix. A better route is to exercise the left thumb a bit and learn rudder work. Coordinating turns is the first rudder skill and a necessity on most scale and aerobatic planes, so you might as well go ahead and start working on it. The best option though would be to fix the adverse yaw by setting up differential ailerons. It's easy to do with your radio. Start with 1.5 times as much up as down. You'll find that it tames the plane down considerably.

Be carefull with rudder mix. If you fly inverted very low, you will snap roll into the ground.
