dx7 flaps programming
Hi,
I have a foam cessna 182 deluxe, it has 1 servo for ailerons, 1 servo for flaps, 1 for rudder. I have a 6 channel receiver and a dx7 transmitter, I also using a gyro on the ailerons and have the gyro adjustments on the gear channel. I am planning the to connect the flaps servo into the aux 1 channel. How do I go about programming in the flaps control? Thanks for any advice, Andrew |

A gyro on a foam plane? What for?
This is directly from the DX7 manual, page 58. You can get a copy of the manual at http://www.spektrumrc.com/ProdInfo/Files/DX7_Manual.pdf Flap System The purpose of the Flap System is to set the flap and elevator positions for landing and takeoff. This is accomplished by selecting values for the elevator and flaps to be activated when the Land Switch is engaged. Three flap and elevator positions are available. The landing system can also be activated by a preset position of the throttle stick. Refer to the Automatic Landing Attitude section for more information on how to select the preset throttle position. Note: The Flap System is only operational when system is selected under Flap in the Input Select screen. See page 46 for more detail. >>>> picture goes here <<<< Press to enter FLAP SYSTEM Press to adjust value Press to enter Function Mode Press to return value to default Press to highlight the desired function Accessing and Utilizing the Flap System Press the UP and select keys simultaneously to enter the Function Mode. Press either the UP or down key until Flap sys appears in the upper left portion of the LCD. Press the select key to position the cursor at the desired function (e.g., ELEV, FLAP, SPOI, AUTO). Note: The flap system can only be accessed when System is selected in the Input Select screen under flaps. See page 46 for more details. Press the Up or Down key to set the value for flap and elevator travel. The up key adds up flap/elevator and the down key adds down flap/elevator. The input is adjustable from 125% for flap and -200% for elevator. |
RE: dx7 flaps programming
thanks for the help,
got it working. the gyro is to help learn to fly and allow me to fly in windier conditions. thanks, Andrew |
RE: dx7 flaps programming
You're welcome.
The gyro won't help you but it will definitely hinder you. You are much better off learning without any of those types of gizmo's on your plane. They only mask problems that will come up. CGr. |
