I need to know the best way to repair the front part of the fuselage for an hangar 9 alpha 60, I need to put a piece in where the wing slips into and bolts down, there are 2 dowels on the wing, and the part in front of the fuselage where it slips into proke off and I need to make a new one to go in its' place. The only problem it is I can oly connect it to the topof the fuselage and the sides and 2 frames where it broke off of, just wondering if it will be strong enough to withstand the landings, when I get a chance I will post a picture of it showing you what I mean, any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Just guessing but for starters I'd be sure to replace the typewood that brokewith the same type... balsa for balsa, ply for ply, spruce for spruce, etc. In your caselikely ply. Sand the area that broke down to a flat surface. Cut out and shape the replacement piece and test fit it.Use mediumCA to adhere and thenepoxy or wood glue to reinforce. Triangle stock is good for reinforceing jointstoo.

Remember, getting it functional and secure is more important that beauty. Both is desired but you know how it goes....

On a structural part like that you'll definitely need to make a doubler to give it strength. butt joints on wood aren't very strong. Use slow setting epoxy (1 hr, preferably) for the repair and make sure there's no paint or fuel proofing on the wood before gluing it. That way the epoxy can soak into the wood a little and make the joint much stronger.
