will this make a difference?

hey there guys. i was just wondering if putting a hobbyzone champ propeller on my ember 2 would make a difference in speed/motor temps?

If it's a different prop, then yes it will. These little electric setups are fragile though, so if you put a prop on there that gives more speed then you'll definitely see lower flight times and will likely shorten the life of your motor and batteries.

okay thanks. i was just wondering in case the LHS doesn't have any propellers in stock. guess i will wait for the ember 2 props to come in stock then.

Did you ask if your LHS could order them in for you? If they can't, did you check online?
I found [link=http://www.amazon.com/Propeller-Spinner-Micro-Citabria-Ember/dp/B00120K1TC]this on amazon.[/link] Good luck hunting!

RE: will this make a difference?

It is normally OK to replace an existing prop with one from a different manufacturer, provided that the prop is of the same size, pitch and type.

So if you purchase a slow flyer or GWS prop of the same diameter and pitch of the one you are missing, you should keep thing within the specs of your electronics.

However if you get something larger or of higher pitch, that will cause the new prop to draw more power from the ESC and motor, resulting in frying your components.
