DX6i- Not happy!

Ireceived a DX6i yesterday.and I'm not to happy with the instruction manual. I mainly got the TX so I can use spoilers. So far Ican't find anything on how to set them up
.Mentions flaps tho.
I guess it could be worse as the DX6i is made in China and the directions are above par for a Chinese product.

RE: DX6i- Not happy!

The switches are flaps and gear. On the RX gear is listed and teh flaps would be the aux channel. So for the most part you would use the flaps switch for the spoilers. The flap switch has adjustments as far as rates and expo, but I dont think the gear channel does. If you are going to use flaps and spilers, but fixed gear you are set, move the flaps to the gear and spoilers to flaps. Both switches are on the left side.

Weren't you involved in that thread about what radios to start out with ( where I kept talking about getting more channels? ).

Anyway......

I assume you have a servo on each aileron and want to set up SPOILERONS, not true independant spoilers....

That being the case look at the section on "Dual Aileron Wing Type Selection".

To get spoilerons, you use the "flaperon" settings but reverse the sign of the values so the ailerons go UP instead of down.

Here is a complete guide from another site

Just remember to reverse the travel value for the "flaps".

Spoilers are like flaps, just the opposite direction. So follow flap set up but reverse the direction they go.

Sounds good. I'll give it a try!
