OS32 SX muffler replacement...
 

My lhs doesn't have a stock a replacement muffler for my 32SX which I lost half of it in flight but they do have a new Brodak type. I ordered one and it came in but doesn't have a pressure tap on it. Has any one added one or do I look for another type of muffler.

If the muffler is baffled, then you can put a pressure tap between the manafold and the baffle. It's a matter of drilling and tapping the muffler. I believe you can buy a pressure tap from someplace like Macs Mufflers or you can buy a muffler from them with one already installed.

Hi, I found a pressure tap in the hobby shop and bought it. Its just that this is a different type of muffler and don't know if there will be enough pressure to work. The muffler is very short so the exhaust would end up blowing out next to the plane. To correct this I ordered a muffler extension. I will install the tap and see how it works when the part comes in.
