Hitec Eclipse 7 & Electric Planes

Hi,
I 'm learning to fly heli's at the moment, but always have been interested in planes too. I'm looking to buy the Graupner Mini Piper Cub Electric, or something similair. My question is, sorry if its stupid, will my radio work with electric planes (Hitec Eclipse 7), or do I have to buy the "suggested" radio?
Thanks for your help!
Joe

Yes it will work, I used to fly electric and now I fly glow with the same radio and It will also work in a heli too, Not sure how to do it for the Eclipse but I know it can be done but there is a way to change mode from helli to fixed wing, For electric you may need to get some micro rx and servos but the TX will be fine.

For your eclipse just select the ACRO mode on an unused model and you are go to go.
