binding my remote
can i bind my blade cx2 remote to my hobby zone champ air plane thanks if so how thanks

RE: binding my remote
The reason you have not had any replies is because no one really knows anything about the problem you are having. You have to provide a tad bit more information than you had.
Radio manufacturer and model would really help with getting some reasonable help. CGr. |
RE: binding my remote
Technically I think you bind the rceiver to the xmitter but i could be wrong on that. If the xmitter and receiver are compatible, I would think there are instructions with the xmitter on how this is done in case it was needing to be re-done after the initial setup from the factory. For example, if you bought another balde and wanted to bind to the current xmitter.

ORIGINAL: KitBuilder Technically I think you bind the rceiver to the xmitter but i could be wrong on that. with a JR with model match it actually binds both to each other |
RE: binding my remote
ORIGINAL: KC36330 with a JR with model match it actually binds both to each other JR's Model Match feature, adds an ID to transmitted packets that uniquely identifies each configuration to the RX. The RX is "bound" to the TX and the model memory, but the TX doesn't care what RX you use for this. If the binding were bi-directional as you indicated, then it would be difficult to use multiple RX's on the same plane... something that works fine btw... without any unusual binding... |

RE: binding my remote
The Blade Cx2 is an e-lite (helicopter) and their website lists the receiver as: "2.4GHz DSM 5-channel (included), 4-in-1 receiver/mixer/ESC/gyro (installed), S60 Super Sub-Micro servos (2 installed)"
The Hobby Zone Air Champ transmitter: "<span>4-channel 2.4GHz transmitter with Spektrum DSM 2" Oops. The five channels needed to control the helicopter are not enough for that transmitter to accomidate. It won't work.</span> |
RE: binding my remote
ORIGINAL: KC36330 during bind it IS. the RX talks to the TX to know what modulation it's on. but to each their own. You can even bind multiple RX's at the same time. Try it and you'll see. Even under DSMX the bind is a unidirectional process. People often mistake "model match" to be a bidirectional thing, as you've done. |
RE: binding my remote
with you knowing it all, there's not need to say otherwise is there? you should call the guys at horizon and let them know that the transmitter has an eyeball that looks at your receiver during binding and says 'Yeap, that's a DSM1 receiver, i better modulate to DSM1 and not DSM2 on this one..............'

A DSM2 TX does not change it's modulation, which is why DSM1 RX's will not work with DSM2 TX's. If you have a DSM2 TX you have to upgrade the RX. DSMX is a different story. |

ORIGINAL: opjose Your silly attempt at sarcasm aside, I got this from the horses mouth... so to speak. You have it wrong. A DSM2 TX does not change it's modulation, which is why DSM1 RX's will not work with DSM2 TX's. If you have a DSM2 TX you have to upgrade the RX. DSMX is a different story. no genius, you're wrong, i've got a DSM2 transmitter (a 12x) and it talks to DSM1 and DSM2 receivers all day long (it will NOT a DSMX without the upgrade which is of no use what so ever to me). the DSMX upgrade will talk to DSM2 and DSMX receivers but will NOT talk to a DSM1 receiver. you are on the wrong end of the horse buddy. |
RE: binding my remote
A Typo... that should have read....
"A DSM2 TX does not change it's modulation, which is why DSM2 RX's will not work with DSM1 TX's." But no, I'm not wrong. Talk to Spektrum/JR if you doubt that binding is unidirectional. As far as "genius", yes thanks.... |

Trying t o set COD function as your first step on TX
