ic to electric

Hi Guys, I have been flying ic for many years now it's time to try electric. I brought myself a Tiger Shark trainer. It's now ready to go but I would like to know if there is much difference between ic and electric to flying.

Cheers all....

Did you mean "quieter" or "quiter"? There is a difference even when spelled wrong.

I/C glow, noisy, dirty, fuel is expensive, have to set throttle up right to get good linear feel.
I/C gasloline, loud, not as dirty, fuel is cheap, servos are expensive. still have to setup throttle for good feel
Electric, quiet, clean, linear throttle right out of box, needs some expensive stuff (batteries, charger)

all become a mess of sticks when you screw up

Sorry, I didn't read before posting. I meant quieter. I am sooooo glad that we have a spelling guru on the site! I don't think I could live without one. I was under the impression that this site was for the discussion of model aviation.

It is. But the difference between quit and quiet are quite obvious (pun intended), even to the most casual observer. Words have meaning and it's real easy to start a range war.

Who is starting a range war? Drop it!

Don't screw up, (no pressure). Post a picture of the plane after a great day of flying with no screw ups.

I just finished working out the problems with the 40cc carb, Just found out I have a problem with my
l. side elevator horn. Bad fit causing trim changes in the air. Going to have to order some metal
airtronics arms. Going to try and get out one day this week.

Ha.. yeah. some attitude, eh? I had a pretty good laugh.. Drop it!!! Wow. What can I say. Some just can't understand that a simple slip of the fingers on the keyboard... anyway, he'll get over it, I'm sure.

I bet you will miss him, too. Did you guys manage to get any flying in? (with ski's?)

When I left Navy Boot way back when, I went home for two weeks then back to Great Lakes for almost a year of Tech school, so I understand what you are saying.

Were you at the field when one of the guys had a large scale gas powered plane that fluttered like a snare drum? We all thought it was going to come apart, but it didn't. Strangest thing I have seen in a while. Well, almost as strange as that SPAD I had way back when.. ha..
