flying tips
I want to know some tips that will make my first REAL flight successful. I don't want to end up breaking my wing for the third time on my hobbyzone champ.http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif

RE: flying tips
Absolutely the very first and most important tip of all is to find an experianced flyer to help and mentor you through the process.
mentors all over the place you only need to do a little networking to connect with live hands on help. John |
RE: flying tips
Appearently you already have had several REAL flights. Three broken wings.
John gives you good advice. |
RE: flying tips
Yup, what John said, get an instructor.....Good Luck, Dave

RE: flying tips
Try to keep the plane in the middle of the air. The edges are where annoying obstacles like the ground, trees and houses are. If you will stay in the middle though, you'll be ok.
But seriously, if you will ask a specific question or explain a specific failure you've had we can probably do you a lot more good. The best advice has already been given though. An instructor will fly your plane first to make sure it's working right and trimmed to fly right. Then he'll show you how to work the sticks to make the properly trimmed plane do what it is supposed to. |
RE: flying tips
Well other that what the others have said Ill add:
Fly in ZERO wind. If you DO get out of control and the plane seems to be lost STOP what YOU are doing. These trainer WANT to fly and they can do it all by THEMSELVES. The HZ Champ does not need a lot of room to take off and land but give yourself DOUBLE the amount of room that you think is necessary. Go easy on the controls. You do NOT need to slam the sicks to the side but instead hold light pressure and let the plane react. There is a certain amount of lag time between when your finger moves and the plane starts to move. Above all else have fun, don't give up and it wont be long until its just another day. |
