First Solo!!

I made my first solo flights yesterday with my Stick 40. I made three takeoffs and landings and spent a lot off time flying the pattern and doing figure eights. I then flew Suitcase's SPAD debonair. Its lands a little faster than my stick but it really grooves in the air. I want to thank my instructor Dave Robelen for all his help. He helped with the setup of the plane and with the flying. Now I plan to burn some fuel by getting a couple of flying sessions in each week instead of just on Sunday afternoon.
I am thinking about building a Venture 60 and a Ryan's Rebel over the winter.

Congratulations RV! Feels great doesn't it?
Practice is the best thing you can do now, especially landings. So get out there and start shooting touch and go's!

cajun,
I catch a few winks here and there. ;)

Have you learned inverted with that trainer yet? How about spins? A trainer can also do rolling circles you know. :D

I also would like to point out, my intrests seem to be leaning to the war birds. I like watching the plane do more natural manuvers. As it would do in a full scale plane. For now doing tricks etc doesn't really interest me. I like the look and the profile of the old war birds but they are a bit pricey for me right now and do not want to chance messing one up. I would like to have a half hanger queen and half flyer but I certainly don't want a pile of tooth pics :D
