I'll put my two cents on the Hobbyzone supercub. Another invaluable asset is one of the free model simulators like FMS or RC desk pilot. Good luck.

I have flown the lightweight trainers and a Kadet, and I prefer the Kadet. The added weight makes all the difference in the world.  I did learn to fly using a BNF UM T-28, and that poor little plane looks it too.


For the OP, go spend $100 on one of the UM planes, find a nice open field with no wind and enjoy. Just remember to keep your fingers away from the prop. If the plane survives more than a few flights, then go find a club, an instructor and a real trainer plane.

No, but looks like it went to war. The nose is munched, wings are cracked and held on by tape, and the motor shaft wobbles.

But that little bugger still flies well.

the clssic trainer by pheonix also make a nice reliable plane they also come out with electric version i learnt on the on the ic version i been flying for alot of years and rekonmend it
