Airtronics Receiver problem

Just upgraded to an Airtronics RDS 8000 with FHSS 8 channel receiver. Am building a new ARF and have Futaba S3003 Servos. Can I use these servos with the Airtronics equipment. If so, the connectors from the Futaba servos do not fit into the receiver. Do I have to change out the connectors, or are they incompatible
thanks

Yes you can use those servos.  Futaba servo lead in has a tab on the edge of the connector.  Just take a hobby knife and cut that off.   It will then go in your rx.

tried that,  still seems too fat
will try to lightly sand and trim some more and see if it will work
thanks

That typically happens and its easy to fix just use your #11 blade as a scrapper about ninety degrees to the side of the plug an scrape only downward from the wired end of the plug toward the end of the plug and do this on both sides, not just the side you removed the indexing tab.

Now on the backside of the plug (the solid side) scrape in agine with the blade a chamfer to remove the sharp edge.

This will only take a moment or two and it works a lot better than an attempt to sand it down, Don,t forget the champher on the two back corners.

RE: Airtronics Receiver problem

After getting the tab off the Futaba plugs will still be tight, but they will go in. All my Airtronics receivers are that way. I chalk it up to Airtronics really not wanting my plugs to come out in flight, but it does make setup a pain.
