Hi Red,
Later i´m going to post the photo of the engine. Regards, Paulino |
RE: plane engine
Yes definately start out with a new glow plug even if it glows when you connect it. The engine is a 1978 so the glow plug could be anything and they can have lost all their precious metal plateing long ago which will cause your problem even if it still glows.

RE: plane engine
Would that engine take a "standard" glow plug? (thread size, heat range, and so on?) Or is that engine an odd-ball thread size?

RE: plane engine
Hi everybody,
Thanks for the information, i´m using a hot glow plug, Nº 1, for the engine, could it be any coal in the top of the piston? Regards. Paulino p.s. sorry for my poor english |
RE: plane engine
Paulino if the glow plug was not new installed by you and has an unknown history then the first thing I would do is replace it with a new one.
