Charging?
Hi all,
I'm sure this is a stupid question... but just in case. I charged my TX/RX batteries last weekend but was unable to fly due to weather. Should I leave them all night again before flying tomorrow even though they have not been used? I am using a standard futaba charger. Thanks, Jake |
Charging?
I use the rule of thumb of one hour on the charger for every day of sitting unused. That's very conservative for self discharge, but better too much than too little.
Treat yourself and get an expanded scale voltmeter for $15 that measures the batteries under a small resistance load. |
Charging?
Thanks Charlie.

Charging?
I think Charlie rule of thumb is on the money, but I throw them on overnight because it's easy. ;)
Definitely get an ESV, and if you want my opinion, never fly if the Rx pack is below 5.0 volts. Dennis- |
Charging?
fine advice folks :) I will charge them all night.
Appreciate it. |
Charging?
Sorry no credit,
Charge them But cycle them before next use, if you don't get to fly. Just to be safe, check peak voltage and load before flying! |
