U can do 3d 46

Hello i have resently maiden my u can do 3d and i am using a asp ,46 2 stroke engine in it with and 11*6 prop and it fly very well but lots of ppl in my club tells me it will fly better with a prop with smaller pitch like 11*4 or 12*5 or 11*5 or 12*4. Can you please tell me witch one to use and sorry for my bad english.

It really is all about what you think of how it flies. An 11x6 is going to keep the rpm down on a .46, so you aren't making quite as much power as you would be with less load. If you're just flying around in circles and doing basic aerobatics with the plane it could work, but if you're doing the 3D maneuvers that the plane was designed for an 11x4 or 12x4 will give you much better hovering and vertical pull outs.

Hi!
Try a 12x4! RAM or Graupner Sonic prop!

Just remember the U CAN DO is an aerobatic airplane not a speed airplane....I have seen 1 U CAN DO come apart in the air at the bottom of a loop and have heard of others coming apart. Speed seemed to be the common factor. Choose your prop for pull not speed

Thx for your answers and yea i know its not suppose to be fast be mine is very slow and the engine generates a lot of <span style="font-size: small; "><span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: arial, sans-serif; white-space: nowrap; ">resonance in the wings and its seems to be from the engine not getting high</span></span><font color="#222222" face="arial, sans-serif" size="2"><span style="white-space: nowrap;">enough rpm so will a smaller pitch do the trick.</span></font><h3 class="r" style="font-size: medium; font-weight: normal; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; overflow: hidden; text-overflow: ellipsis; white-space: nowrap; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: arial, sans-serif; "></h3>

are you sure you're not hearing flutter? Flutter is kinda of a buzzing sound. Or loose monokote perhaps

Yeah, something is wrong if you're getting any kind of shake from the engine. Now if you're just talking about that drumbeat effect some planes have at idle, you can't do much about that. But odd noises in flight are your one and only warning that things are about to start falling off the plane. The biggest mistake with these planes, as jetmech05 said, is people exceeding their maximum flight speed. You are flying a plane that is optimized to hang on its prop and put along at 10 mph doing so. It's not a sport plane to bore holes in the sky with. That's what they make Ugly Sticks for.

Prop is balanced is and i know that its not flutter. I talked to a member in our club that ownes the same modell and he hade the same prob with the engine not getting up to speed. Iam trying a 12x4 prop on friday.
