Switch For Du-Bro 207
 

I have the Du Bro 207 charging jack and kwik switch and am using a Spektrum AR400 receiver. Which switch should I use? Will this JR one work ?www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1574_136/products_id/28438/n/JR-Standard-Switch

I am a major fan of the #207 and use them in the vast majority of my ships and I actually prefer it to the Great Planes equilvilent, being a little easyier to use and a much better plug door.

Sourkraut is absolutely correct as I have found no brands of any standards that would not work. There is a drilled hole for one bolt on your switch and the other side in the switch holder has a long slot for the second bolt. Included with the packet is a set of bolts that are for certain switchs to be used instead of the stock bolts. Don,t really know what they fit since I just throw them away.

On all my airplanes with the 207 I orient the two conductor charge lead of the switch harness in the charge tunnel with the positive up. In this way I always know which way to insert the charge lead from a charger and never forget.

Here is another hint for positioning the charge lead in the tunnel perfectly and only takes second in setup:

After you have made the square hole for the front plates body and the round hole for the bolt, remove the front plate from the fuselage and pull the charging lead from your switch through the the large square hole from the inside of the airplane and insert this lead through the backside of the big square hole on the front plate all the way through so its sticking out the front side.

Now comes the neat part find a charge plug from a charger or even just the female from the plug on the switch itself if the wire is long enough. Sometimes just an old cutoff charger pigtail works fine. Next plug this charge plug into the charge lead sticking out the front side of the big front plate. OK just push this plugged up pair of plugs together back into the front plate untill the backside of the charging lead is flush with the backside of the front plates big square hole. This position is where you want to tighten up the set screw that holds the charge lead in the tunnel. It difficult to overtighten this set screw and it is intended to put an indentation in the plug itself or it will slip out when you remove the charging plugs.

Now just remove the charging plug and insert the front plate assembly back into the fuselage and your switch charging lead will be perfectly positioned in the tunnel.

This one has a charge cord.. Is this needed or recommended?

That is a standard switch harness with a charge cord and is what is required to use with a Dubro #207 switch mount and charge recepticle. It is the type switch harness supplied with the vast majority of complete aircraft radio systems.
