Help me to decide

I would like to start a new building project this winter, A second plane , I have a superstar 40 trainer but like to upgrade for next year. I'm still in training with the superstar as of yet ,but would like to be ready when I'm able to step up. I was thinking A bi plane, or a 3d type, Any suggestions on makes, and types, I do enjoy putting them together, an in a kit form. I will also upgrade to a new 2 stroke motor, and A new futaba transmitter. thank you all for your support

I would recommend the Sig 4* Series. Excellent second plane, fun building kit, and great preformer. Personally, I'd stay away from bipes. To much hassle and setup time with the wings when you get to the field.

Get the low wing Goldberg Tider 60 kit. This is an awesome plane. It builds easily, and u can use an os 60 fx or 65 LA for it and it will work perfectly. Just my 2 cents!

Like Kevlar said, go for the a Four Star. They are some of the best planes out there.

Sig 4 Star is great, It is a lot fun to fly.

I too love biplanes a lot but I am thinking it as a 3rd or most likely 4th plane,

Look into the Venture 60 by Bruce Tharpe Engineering (BTE). I believe he is the same one who helped design the 4 Star series when he worked for SIG.

Good Luck

Either of the two mentioned (Sig 4* or Goldberg Tiger) would be excellent choices. You'd better leave the Bipes and 3-D's till you have a bit more experience.

Get the 4* or the venture 60. I fly a 4*60 and my friend has a 4*60 and a venture 60. Both planes fly great and will do anything you ask of them. The venture is the best quality kit I have ever seen. The 4* kits are top notch also. The venture looks a little cleaner that the 4* when finished. Bruce Tharp designed both of these planes. The 4* when he worked for Sig. The venture after the left Sig. The venture has all of the good things from the 4* and some other design changes. If you are building from a kit the the venture. If you want an ARF get the 4*.
