Can anyone ID this Plane? I picked it up at the Perry GA Swap for $75 (Ready to Fly) It has a 55 Inch Wingspan, about 50 Inches in Length (I added a Dollar for Perspective to one Photo).. It flies great Glides in like my Parkzone Trojan, but with real pickup. Its really fast but has good response. It came with a OS 46, all the Servos and Reciever - I am very very happy with the deal I got - I just Wish I new what it is. (I call it Racer X)

Let me know if you can ID this Bird - Thanks

Yes it is pylon racing and normally two poles. It got started maybe eight years ago or so as an easy and Cheap form of racing. I believe it got its start with the RC Pro rules. Generally there were two airplanes allowed, The world which you have and the LA Racer. Both are all most identical with only minor differences.

Search RC Pro and club 40 racing and you will get many hits.

I think maybe others have misidentified your new airplane. I think what you have there is called a "bargain". Yes , I'am sure it is a "bargain". In fact @ $75 it may be a "steal". Good shopping, don't you just love Perry? Enjoy

The only thing I don't like about the airplane is it has a small profile. Combine that with the original covering it became hard to see at times. Great airplane though
Have fun with it

Curiously that green patch on the right wing was not put on there for decoration or maintaining orientation. That patch indicates the airplane probably was raced because that patch is a lane marker.

Virtually all pylon racing in the country these days no longer depends on the poles judges and lap timers to have to identify each of the four racers in an event. Instead two color stickon paper product is used. Your airplane is marked High green. There also would be Low Green, High Red and Low Red.

The high or low thing means the position of the marking when the airplane is in a left bank. This greatly simplified things as for example if an airplane marked Low Red cut a pylon he only needed to put check mark in the Low Red column and after the race the cuts are tallied.

Normally the markers are removed after a race the stickon is a paper product and if desired it is easily removed by pre soaking in lighter fluid. It appears the fellow also used some left over markers to help him see the fuselage.

Here is another example and this airplane is also marked High Green:
