Something Extra Throws

Good Morning,

I'm getting my Something Extra set up for its first flight.
The recommended throws in inches are:
Aileron......L 1.............H 2
Elevator.....L 1 1/4......H 2
Rudder.......L 1 7/8......H 2 1/4

Being used to flying a Super Sportster and a WM Mach II,
these seem extreme. Anyone used to this plane have suggestions
to make sure the first flight is successful?
I know that not enough throw can also be disastrous.

Thanks for the help,

Make sure these throws are on the high rate on your controls, Then do your maiden on low rate with about half the throw. This bird is mild on low and look out on High:D A great flying bird. The Elevator and rudder are not that touchy but the ailerons are.

Love Wire,

I had to change the post, looked good in the editor, not in the post.
It now better shows the low & high rates.
I'm worried the low rates may still be to much for first flight.

Thanks,

RE: Something Extra Throws

It will fly great on low rates, You will not get the snap roll or stall tendency that you have on high rate. You can switch after you get it in the air and after you get used to the plane you can take off with high rate. Just make sure every thing checks out, CG an lateral balance and all controls are level and in the right direction[:@]
