Which is a better beginner airplane? Super Cub, or Mini Super Cub

I am a beginner in RC Airplanes and I'm looking into getting one to fly. I've been looking at two airplanes that have high ratings for beginners, but I don't know which one would be better. The airplanes are:Super Cub DSM RTF, and Mini Super Cub RTF. Which one of these planes would be a better plane for a beginner?

If you are limited to those two, then get the Super Cub DSM RTF. The mini still uses a 72 mhz radio. If you have a bit more money to spend, take a look at the new E-Flight Apprentice S. It's rapidly becoming the new standard in beginner RC aircraft with its new SAFE technology.

What frequency bands ARFs are equipped with shouldn't be used to determine which plane you buy. The 72MHz AM, FM and FM/PCM radios have been around and worked well for decades. I personally have both AM and FM/PCM radios that I trust more than the new 2.4GHz units now on the market. What should be looked at is the size of the aircraft and where you plan on flying it. If you plan to fly in a large indoor area like a gym, go with the smaller plane. If you plan to fly outdoors, the bigger plane would be better as it will be easier to see and more likely able to handle light winds you will encounter.

I would not buy any thing but 2.4mhz at this point... 72 is for the garbage heap. When they come up with frequency hopping for 72 then it might be something. Why buy something new that you cannot sell for any price?

I too vote for the apprentice WAY above your two choices... as an instructor, I have flown all three. Hand launch your choices...

Out of the two the super cub would be better but as others have already said there are even better choices than either.

Of the 2 Cubs I would suggest the bigger. Larger tends to fly better and teach better. If space is a concern then you should relook at the area. A beginer and small space are not a good combo. Iwould also suggest a club field and instructor.
