first rc
I just got a toy grade helicopter my first rc anything , it has made me want more and better. What would be the best way to go up? Any info will be appreciated, btw I am 70 years young but know I can learn

How far up would you like to go? If you have the budget, I would get a .50 size nitro heli, buy a good radio, join a club, and go out and have a blast. That route will cost you around $1200 give or take. (you can find good used stuff for less) Or you can go buy a Blade 450 for around $400 I think. It's a small electric that comes with a radio. With a little setup you could be in the air quickly. No matter what you do, please join an RC club and get help so you don't crash on your first hover. Also flight simulators are really nice to learn on, and they are perfect for the winter months when it is too cold to be outside.

Dodged, Most toy grade copters nearly fly themselves. I suggest you visit your local hobby shop and look at the Blade brand of copters and get one of the economy priced coaxial copters. Blade has some good copters for beginners starting at $79.00. Plus you can get replacement parts for them. Then move up to the intermediate copters that have flybars. Once you master the intermediate you can then get into the 450 size with full collective.

When you get into the bigger and more expensive heli's you are advised to work on a simulator and by all means join a club and work with an instructor who can also help you fine tune the many adjustments on these aircraft.

I would consider a plane. Easier learning curve. Easier on the wallet. Just as fun. Hobby zone supercub. Can get one RTF for like 180.00 with a 2.4 ghz radio. I learned to fly on the original version. Still fly it to this day I mainly fly giant s scale gas. It is my training plane when I start teaching people to fly on a buddy box.

Go to your local flying club look around ask questions perhaps talk to an instructor. See what they recommend
