Putting retracts on my plane. Problem is: nose gear and one wing operate together. The other wing is opposite. I do not have room to reverse the servo arm as there is no clearance . Using Hitec 82 servos. Plane is a seagull lancair legacy. is there a way to reverse the one servo? Probably a dumb question, right.:cool:

GWS and others do a servo reverser looks like a servo extension with a bump - about 10 $

Futaba and SmartFly also make servo reversers.

Is it possible that you can use another channel on your Tx/Rx (if you have one) and mix it to the retract channel?

Thinking about it I have seen a Y lead that incorporated a servo reverser in one arm. Probably GWS again.

I could buy the hitec hs-82mg reversed. another 10 yankee greenbacks. silly the way they designed the retracts, they could have put the servo on the other side of the wheel well. They did the same thing for the flaps. they have the slots for the flap horn cut the same as if it were the ailerons. Maybe they could use us engineering help.

Use a Futaba servo with similar specs. It will operate in the opposite direction from the Hitec servo.

Yes indeed two standard Y cords will provide a three way Y. In the past where I have needed a three way or more (have done up to six) I have always simply soldered them up from pig tails and this will eliminate one extra plug (always a good idea) when using two Ys to form a three way:)

Now concerning your servo direction problem listen to what Jolly Popper just posted above and its so simple, to just use a similar Fuitaba servo and a Hitec servo . On ailerons of course not but rudder/nose wheel, retracs such as your situation and flaps there is no reason not to mix futaba and hitec servos for reversing purposes.

club member gave me two servo reversing pigtails and they work great. also need one for the flaps.
