Can't get plane started
 

G'day. Total noob on planes. Bought an electrafun xp for gf this Christmas, put it together, checked controls, all charged, all good. Took the battery out Chrissy eve, gave it to her the next morning and as she puts the battery into the cockpit the motor starts cutting in as she's fitting it in. The lil board the battery connects to was touching the ?receiver? board and arcing and spinning the prop. I've sepeated them as one had come loose but now I can't get any response from the control. Any idea what's happening?

It sounds like something was connected wrong and you burned up either the ESC or the receiver. If you have other RC gear it's easy enough to figure out which one has died. Then you can call the manufacturer and ask for a replacement part.
