motor ensident
 

I am looking for anyone who knows how to set the ensident on the motor on the up and down. When you are flying level and the plane goes up when you let off the gas. Do you add washers to the top or the bottom of the motor? Thanks Joe.

Joe, it's possible you have too much down thrust. A couple washers under the bottom of the mount should help.

I have had this problem. other than the engine you may need to reset the horizontal stab and main wing incidence.
If the elevator is nuetral your plane should fly level under 3/4 power and climb only when power is added, when the throttle is cut the plane should continue straight ahead then as it slows down start to lose altitude but not flair up or down.

for starters set your engine straight ahead............understand I say this not knowing what you are flying. a high winger will react a bit different than a low winger - several variables apply dependent upon the airplane type. with the set up you presently have you engine is fighting against the lift of the wing and should be shimmed with washers for less down thrust. but when you do the plane will tend to loop because you leading edge of the wing is too high or the horizon stab. leading edge is too low.

In a nut shell your bird is out of trim.

What you describe is the classic sign of too much down thrust. If you'll tell us what plane you are flying, one of us may have one and be able to give you the exact measurement on ours that works well. Otherwise, you'll just have to experiment with it until you stop getting pitch changes with throttle changes.

Ok it is a MXSR 30%.it belongs to a friend of mine. He brought it to me today and I found that his ailerons was not set right. They was acting as a little flaps. We reset them and as soon as the weather permitting we will try that. Thanks for all the help. I have the same plane and mine Fly's great. Thanks again Joe.

Well if you have one that flies well it should be a simple thing to measure everything on yours and modify his accordingly.
